Element: Prepare for assessment moderation
  • Determine purpose, focus and context of assessment moderation activities
  • Determine moderation approach to suit identified purpose, focus and context
  • Determine and confirm moderation participants and organise resources needed
       
Element: Lead assessment moderation
  • Facilitate assessment moderation meeting to review candidate submission and feedback to be given to candidate, and agree on assessment outcome
  • Support moderation participants throughout the assessment moderation process
  • Record assessment moderation in accordance with organisational procedures
  • Present moderation findings and recommendations to relevant people within timeframes required by organisational procedures

  • Determine products that require post-validation of assessment tools by referring to organisational validation plan
  • Initiate validation in line with VET regulatory requirements and organisational procedures

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts.
